We respect your privacy. This policy describes what data the Namaz Vakitleri (“app”) collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data Controller
The data controller for this app is the developer who publishes it. Contact details are available on the app store listing or within the app.
2. Data We Collect or Use
- Location: We use your device’s location to calculate prayer times and show Qibla direction. Location is processed only on your device and is not sent to our servers. If you deny permission, the app may use default or sample times.
- Local preferences: Settings such as notifications, Ramadan mode, the tasbih counter, and the “remove ads” purchase are stored only on your device (and, where needed, in the app group storage used by the widget). This data is not transmitted to us.
- Advertising and analytics (third parties): The app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and similar data to serve ads. If Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown, ad personalisation is only used if you grant permission. For AdMob’s use of data, see the Google Privacy Policy.
- In-app purchase: The “remove ads” purchase is processed by Apple. Payment and purchase data are held by Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
3. Purposes of Use
- To calculate prayer times based on your location.
- To show Qibla direction.
- To schedule local notifications for the prayer times you choose (no server or account).
- To display ads (via AdMob).
- To process purchases through Apple and enable the “remove ads” feature.
4. Storage and Sharing of Data
Your location and preferences are not sent to our servers; they are kept only on your device (and in the storage shared with the widget). Data used for advertising and analytics is subject to Google’s policies. In-app purchase data remains with Apple.
5. Your Rights
You can revoke location and notification permissions in your device settings. You can disable ad personalisation via Apple’s “Allow Apps to Request to Track” (or similar) setting. The app does not require an account or sign-in, so there is no account deletion; uninstalling the app removes local data from your device.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy. We may notify you of significant changes via the app store or in the app. The current text will always be published on this page.
